Prepare your eyes and ears. My 4 year old computer can't even handle the epicness
EDIT: So today I learned that a 720p screen can only show up to 720p resolution. Pretty obvious. Damn I am stupid.

I AM NOW READY

Holy shit...
Can we make everything other than 4k illegal?
![]() 09/28/2014 at 03:46 |

No! I am having a hard time watching it as it is. Extremely choppy!

Okay, so maybe not. But this is what my retina screen was made for. This one video in full 4k alone justified my purchase of this computer. I owe you for that, YSI.

I gotta try it with everything off, it is either my internet or my computer.

I am making the world a better place one exhaust video at a time!

I genuinely didn't know such beauty was possible.
Well, on that immensely positive note, and considering it's 4am, I think it's time for a Porsche race car "Goodnight Oppo" post!

I just worked for me - CPU temp decide to shoot up by 20ºC, but it was worth it. Dat turbo whistle...

4am? The night is still young!!!

Oh man, hopefully it works, I am getting excited.

...You guys do realize that if your monitor isn't 4k that you're not actually watching 4k?
Also, what ancient technology are you using that you'd have any trouble streaming this?
![]() 09/28/2014 at 04:52 |
|
You're not watching 4k unless your TV/monitor is actually 4K.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 04:55 |

Even though I doubt any one of us is actually watching this in 4k, this video is god damn excellent.

If I could I would, I just want to know if I can run it on the 4k setting. Don't know if it is a laptop issue or an internet issue. Pretty sure it is a laptop one, it gets choppy around 1440p.
Also, I should mention that I totally didn't know that, I tried to bullshit you, but I couldn't. I am not the smartest person around :P

Neither of them are. I think my TV is 720p, my laptop probably is too, although I honestly don't know.

Completely badass. I love the blow-off/recirc valve sound in the cabin.

THE NOISE, OH MAH GAWD THE NOISE

It's probably a limitation of your GPU (or lack of one).
My computer was able to "run" 4K, but if you cycle through 1080P and anything higher there's zero difference in video quality.
It's still a fantastic 1080p video with incredible audio recording.
And not knowing that stuff had absolutely zero to do with intelligence.

4k displays are around $3,000 and are sold in small numbers by a few manufacturers. Not even Apple makes them.
There's not much content out there for them anyway.

3000? How about 600. It's a TN panel though so viewing angles are crap but at least it's 60Hz.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 14:09 |

4k with 60hz? Not if you're running it through HDMI.

Duh. DisplayPort.

WELL THEN YOU GOOD BIG HOMIE!
Also, yes. TN is garb.

Twin turbo flat 6s are some of the nastiest sounding things out there!
![]() 09/29/2014 at 01:49 |

This completely explains why when I go to 1080p, I see exactly zero difference. I never got the big deal, but no I realize it is because I just kept watching it 720p. Lololol
